Celebrity Lady Captain’s Prize Golf tees off on Saturday

This year’s Celebrity Golf Club Lady Captain’s Prize Championship tees off at Sakumono, near Tema on Saturday, August 11.

Mr Joe Ohemeng, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club, who announced this at Tema on Sunday, said the one-day 18-Hole Medal Play event, which is open to amateur golfers in the Greater Accra Region is to be sponsored by Mrs Aileen Conteh, Lady Captain of the Club.

He said the event, which would be played under the rules of the Ghana Golf Association and the local rules of the Celebrity Golf Club, was expected to attract more than 100 golfers.

Mr Ohemeng said some of the golfers expected to be seen in action include Golfer of the Year, 2006, Mona Captan, ‘Lady Scientific” Florence Etwi-Barimah, Esther Antwi, Margaret Owusu-Baah and Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong.

Mr Kobina Quansah, President of the Celebrity Golf Club would present prizes to the deserving winners.
