100 golfers register for Celebrity Medal

About 100 amateur golfers have so far registered for the November Medal Championship of the Celebrity Golf Club scheduled for Saturday, December 1 at Sakumono, near Tema.
Mr Akwasi Opoku, Competition Secretary of the Club, who announced this at Tema on Thursday, said management had put in place adequate preparations to ensure that the competition is played in a serene atmosphere.
He said management of the Club has also lined up series of competitions which would enable the golfers sharpen their strokes for major competitions.
The celebrity team, which would be led by their captain, Joe Ohemeng includes Joe Ampofo, Abdul Aziz-Amankwa and Aileen Conteh.
Mr Kobina Quansah, President of the Club would present prizes to the winners.
