The 3rd National Delegates congress of the Convention People’s Party has begun in Kumasi amidst tension as to who will win the presidential slot.

All most all the delegates from the 230 constituencies in the country were seated at approximately midday at the great hall of KNUT to listen to speeches from national delegates.

Presently the identified executives of the CPP are chairman, Dr. Edmund Delle, Mrs. Bentsi Enchil, Supi Bentil Enchil, Kwesi Pratt and all the six presidential delegates.

Mr. Asiedu Nketsia of the NDC was spotted among the crowd.

Addressing the delegates the national chairman, Mr. Delle cautioned delegates who do not belong to the CPP but for the NPP to leave the party in peace.

“The people who claim they are CPP members but affiliate with other party’s should be careful not to destroy the party. The CPP want to encourage committed members to build the party to win the 2008 presidential party”

He said some of the faithfuls including himself held forth when every one deserted the party, and will not want the “born again” CPP members to come and destroy the party.

It is the born again new CPP that is creating this enthusiasm in the party. It is the born again new CPP who are going to move the party forward. We need to move forward, Delle. This is the IT age, stupid!
When you look around you, what do you see? Is it not refreshing to see young and enthusiastic voters? Did you see that in 2004?

Having said all that, it is time for you to go. You are not in tune with the IT age, sir!I do not think that you understand the motto “FORWARD EVER, BACKWARD NEVER.” The CPP needs to move forward.
    FORWARD EVER!!!
