It is quite electrifying here at the KNUST hall as all contesting various seats of the party are taking turns to address the delegates to present to them their vision for the party.

Earlier the council of elders proposed an amendment to the party’s constitution, which drew negative responses from some presidential aspirants. They wanted the council of members to allow delegates to deliberate on the proposal so they can make submissions on those proposals.

One of the proposals was an amendment of the number of years one has to serve the party before he or she contest for executive positions and presidential slots.

Although delegates supported and seconded the proposal, Prof Akosah was against and was able to rally Kwesi Pratt and others to protest the method used to by the council of members.
