… Akosa Profess first round victory

Calm has finally been restored at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science Technology, the venue for the CPP delegate congress.

Currently, the northern region has taken it turn in the party’s presidential and executive elections of the CPP.

Tension reached a crescendo when word went round that there certain elements were impersonating as delegates.

The worse affected region was the North. That compelled the EC to suspend the voting of delegates from that region. The Electoral Commission then replaced the Northern Regional voter list with its own.

We gathered that a particular presidential candidate (name withheld) influenced some non delegates to impersonate because signals the said candidate picked from the grounds suggest that he was losing the presidential race.

The candidate we were informed paid monies and shared clothes to the said impersonators.

The move raised eyebrows and attracted verbal exchanges among followers of some aspirants, fortunately the Electoral Commission intervened to save the situation.

In a related development, an aspirant Prof. Agyemang Badu Akosa has predicted a first round victory.

‘God has seen my toil and the desire to salvage Ghana from poverty, so the victory song I sang was really a sign to the flagstaff house. I would want to save the delegates the hustle of going through a second round of voting, so I will win for them’.

The Ghanaian journal will bring you live updates of the results soon, as we get ready to count the votes.
