Nduom off to USA
Posted by on May 16, 2008 at 1:31 pm in PoliticsThe Nduom for President 08 Campaign Office wishes to inform the general public that the CPP Flagbearer will be in the USA for personal and official campaign reasons for 15 days.
Dr. Nduom will participate in the 2nd Annual Detroit Black Expo’s African American Business Alliance Speaker Series on Saturday, June 6th.
Dr. Nduom will be the guest of Citizens for a Better Ghana, a lobbying group of Ghanaians based in North America, which encouraged him to run for the Presidency. He will address meetings of the group in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Washington, DC, New York and Milwaukee, Wisconsin to give them an update on his campaign for the Presidency and encourage them to continue their lobbying for a better leadership to fight poverty in Ghana. He will use the opportunity to raise funds to support his campaign activities.
While in the USA, Dr. Nduom will meet executives of CPP North America in New York to give them an update on the CPP campaign and ask them for financial support for parliamentary candidates of the Party.
Meanwhile, locally, the Nduom for President 08 Campaign Team will move to all the ten regions of the country to continue the community-based campaign with support from the regional and constituency executives. In particular, the Team will work with local executives to assess the strength of polling station organizations and support the building of strong local campaign teams. The Team will support the work of the National Campaign Team of the CPP to ensure a strong Presidential and Parliamentary showing throughout the country. Grassroots campaign teams with direction from the CPP’s National Secretariat and the Presidential Campaign Team have started their work to win more members for the Party through a national recruitment drive. The Campaign Team will continue to reinforce the fact that the CPP has teamed up with the PNC and will not entertain any relationship with the NDC or the NPP.
In addition, the Nduom for President 08 Campaign Team has initiated an innovative fund raising drive together with the National Secretariat. Funds raised will support the CPP’s organizational efforts, provide logistics for the constituencies and ensure a high public image for the Party and its Presidential and Parliamentary Candidates. The public is encouraged to donate generously to give Ghanaians the best choice – the CPP in 2008.
Finally, the Campaign Committee wishes to thank all Ghanaians for the great reception given to the CPP Flagbearer so far. In the markets, lorry parks, churches and other gathering places, Ghanaians have welcomed the CPP with cries for change in all languages. They have told us that after experiencing the NDC and the NPP, they want an alternative and the new CPP is now the one they want. They like our peaceful, positive campaign approach. They like our campaign of ideas and introducing solutions to our many problems.
