The endorsement took place over the weekend at the Apenkwa Presby School at a gathering of party members and constituents.
Accepting the endorsement to contest on the ticket of the Party, Mr. Eghan said he was running for Parliament in response to the persistent calls by the constituents for a unifying figure who will bring every together, regardless of party affiliation for the development of the constituency.
Outlining his vision and priorities for the constituency, Mr. Eghan said he would use the community centre concept to get every one involved in identifying problems of the constituency and solving them.
He said, his proposed multi-purpose community centre would serve as a platform for social interaction, library and information resource centre, youth, health and fitness as well as job centres.
He promised to work hand in hand with the Metropolitan Assemblies and their Chief Executive to have many of the public service problems, such as water, sanitation and floods in the raining seasons solved.
The CPP candidate assured the constituents that he would consult them regularly as a true representative in the legislature and carry the opinions across in national debates on issues that affect them.
Mike Eghan Jnr. is the son of a leading member and National Treasurer of the CPP.
