NPP women mad with Akufo-Addo

Women group in the camp of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who recently called on the presidential candidate Nana Akuffo Addo to choose Hon. Alima Mahama as running mate for the party has expressed their dissatisfaction and displeasure on the choice made by Nana for the December polls.

According to them, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has no root in the party and that at this crucial moment; the party needs a running mate that the public is familiar with.

They claimed that Nana Addo has disappointed women in general and the people who made it possible for him to climb the ladder to become the flag bearer of the party, adding that Nana’s choice will spell dome for the party come December since women in Ghana will find it difficult to vote the NPP to retain the seat.

To them, the national executives of the party has officially disappointed the women by not choosing a woman who is conversant with the women populace in the whole nation and threatened that though the party thinks all is well, it is eminent for them to come back and explain to them why a woman was not elected as promised.

Speaking to the Journal, some supporters of the party still believes that Nana Addo has not done well for choosing someone who is not a member of the party to be his running mate.

Some said the party will really suffer a great deal since Dr. Bawumia does not know anything about politics and for a fact that elections is just few months away makes things complicated for the party.
