The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has ordered a replay of the Tema All Stars versus Power FC Division One League (DOL) clash which ended abruptly in Tema.

As one of the final games to end the season, the Zone 3B match played at the Oninku Park in Tema failed to travel the full regulation time as the referee ended proceedings because he claimed he feared for “the lives of the match officials and other football officials due to inadequate security”.

In a determination released by the Disciplinary Committee, and signed by its chairman, Alhaji Farouck Seidu, the Committee said “the match shall be replayed at the same venue,” and instructed that “the DOL board should make sure that enough security is provided to protect the players, officials and the spectators”.

The Committee also recommended Referee Emmanuel Modey who handled the match, and who the Committee’s report described as “indecisive and confused” for further investigations “and appropriate sanctions meted out to him (if necessary)”.

The Commmittee also faulted King Solomon FC for fielding an unqualified player in Abass Bundu/John Bundu against Soccer Learners and consequently declared them lossers for the match.

The decision, according to the Committee, cost King Solomon the victory they achieved in the game and additional three points, while the Committee imposed a GH¢200 fine on the club, 50 per cent of which would be paid to Soccer Learners.

The Committee also awarded maximum points to Bofoakwa in their last game against Bechem United for Bechem’s decision to abadon play in their last game in Zone 1B.

Bechem will also forfeit three additional points for their action and pay a GH¢200 fine, 50 per cent of which will be given to Bofoakwa.

Kadjebi United were also declared losers of their final match against St Mirren at Kadjebi in a match that ended after just 15 minutes when a fan attacked the referee.

The Committee ruled that St Mirren be given 50 per cent of a GH¢200 fine imposed on Kadjebi United, while the same offending club would have to pay a separate GH¢100 to the referee as compensation and for the medical expenses he incurred as a result of the assault.
