As part of honouring the contributions made by the late finance minister of Ghana, Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu to the economy, the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and the World Bank Group has established an annual award for Innovation and Excellence in Finance & Economic Journalism.

This award will be known as the KWADWO BAAH-WIREDU FINANCE & ECONOMIC JOURNALIST OF THE YEAR AWARD.

Mr. Baah-Wiredu during his life made great great contribution towards the development of Finance and Economic Journalism in Ghana.

As part of this initiative, the Institute of Financial & Economic Journalists, an affiliate of GJA, is launching the KWADWO BAAH-WIREDU FINANCE AND ECONOMIC SEMINAR SERIES.
