The Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper and a known Political analyst, Mr Ben Ephson, stated on “Kokrokoo†morning Show, that Hon. Zita Okaikwei and Hon. Woyongo did not impress him during the vetting. He said, although the way they talked or answered the questions may not determine their performances, yet it was necessary to express themselves well, because their work involves effective communications; hence the need to be cautious in the way they talk.
According to him, Hon Collins Dauda, Hannah Tetteh, Cletus Avorkah, Betty Mould Iddrisu and several others impressed him. The Political Analyst also stated that, Hon. Wonyogo is an experienced journalist, who should have been more careful during the vetting because Upper East is not easy to manage.
Expressing his view on the current administration, Mr Ephson said, if President Mills has any unpleasant decision to make like getting rid of hawkers from the street, it should be made this year, which is his first year of ruling, because if it is done next year, it will make the government unpopular. He added that, it is advisable for any new government to use its first year to make all its unpleasant decisions and then use the following year to repair the damage, to make it popular.
