atta_mills_presidentThe presidency has replied to the outbursts by former President Rawlings saying it’s unfair for anyone indict the President for his management style.

Spokesperson to President Mills, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, in an interview on the Citi Breakfast Show said there was nothing wrong with the way President Mills was operating and administering his government.

According to him, President Mills has always acted within the framework of the party and the national constitution in order to fulfill its campaign promises.

The former President, Jerry Rawlings in an interview with Citi News on March 30 chastised President Mills for poorly administering the country noting that the President had surrounded himself with people who were taking advantage of his (the President) slow approach to the running of the state.

Hon. Mahama Ayariga however noted in the interview that “In terms of our campaign promises we are on track and in terms of the quality of the people that the President has nominated for Ministerial appointments, he first and foremost has appointed those people within the framework of the constitution… if anybody is saying that they are mediocre then the person is indicting our own Parliament and the stock of parliamentarians that we have”.

He also pointed out that all appointments made by the President had been reached by consensus after meetings with numerous party members, advisors, recommendations from the rank and file within the party and the parliamentary caucus.

He described as misplaced all comments criticizing the administrative style of the President adding that he (the President) worked hard to ensure that all appointments were made with regional, gender, ethnic and competency considerations in mind.

He noted that per historical consideration, President Mills’ performance within the first quarter of the year surpasses those of both ex-President Rawlings and ex-President Kufuor.

On what president Mills intends to do with former President Rawlings, Mahama Ayariga declined to specify any details saying that the decision on the former president will remain an internal party matter.

He pointed out that though it was necessary for government to take cognizance of the views and reservations of party executives, there was the need to “seive the advoce interms of quality and merit”.

So Rawlings thinks he is sensible and those in the party and around Mills are silly??? Okay. He doesn’t realise what is happening. If there is any truth to the involvement of Kojo T, PV Obeng and Totobi, then he had better watch out. All those sychophants he has around him will not serve his purpose, they are just deceiving him. Yesterday, you criticised the NPP government, today it is your own party’s govenrment, “aba, yabre wooooo ton. Aden??”

You miss being President but that is it for you, you will not be one anymore. You were the leader of Ghana for 19 years. Get some rest, it will do you good and you will live longer…
