Haidressers in Elmina schooled
Posted by on May 9, 2009 at 9:04 am in Local News, ScienceMiss Alica Sampah, President of the Hair Dressers Association in Elmona has advised all hairdressers in the Central Region to avoid using one “weaveon†weaving needle for more than one client to avoid infections.
Sampah disclosed this after noticing that some hairdressers have used the same needle on multiple women when placing weaves..
Sampah also said that all hairdressers who have been properly trained are aware that the price of the needle used to weave the weaveon must be added to the charge per head. “From all indication, it has been noticed that people {hairdressers} are still doing otherwise thereby using needles used in weaving the ‘weaveon’ or human hair on more than one person,†said Sampah.
Sampah is therefore campaigning to the public and hairdressers to insist on new needles when they get to the salon, and to dispose of used needles or return them to the persons when asked.
