Amateur Boxing Association secures sponsorship package

Energy drink is to announce a sponsorship package for the Greater Accra

Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) on Friday, May 22, at the Prisons

Canteen Complex.
Gideon Quartey, Acting Chairman of GAABA told GNA Sports that the

package is to support the organization of the Amateur Boxing League as well as

the Association’s activities.
He described the package as historic that will go a long way to support the

development of boxing in the country.
Quartey said the ceremony would be heralded by a special contest featuring

boxers from participating gyms within the Region.
This is the first time that GAABA is benefiting from such a package since

instituting the Amateur Boxing League three years ago.
Prior to this, Executive Members of GAABA have single handedly funded

the activities of the Association which is devoted to the development of

amateur boxing in the country.
