Diamond miner remanded for impregnating JHS girl
Posted by on May 30, 2009 at 12:47 pm in Court News, Local NewsA circuit court at Akim-swedru in the Birim-South District, has remanded a diamond miner for allegedly impregnating a 15-year-old Junior High School girl.
Bismarck Kojo Owusu, 20, charged with defilement pleaded not guilty and would appear at court on June 10.
Police Chief Inspector Adelaide Appiahkrong told the court presided over by Mr. Kofi Akrowiah that both the accused and the victim lived at Osenase.
Prosecution said on January 26 this year, Owusu sent a girl to call the JHS pupil for her.
Chief Insp. Akrowiah said Owusu had sex with the victim in the room and the father noticed that she was pregnant later.
