The Floor of Parliament Both sides of parliament have called for the immediate dismissal of the new Managing Director of the Ghana National Petroleum Coporation{GNPC} Nana Asafo- Agyei.

The MPs say Nana Asafo- Agyei has been caught up in a massive conflict of interest position and must not be given another day in office.

Nana Asafo- Agyei previously served briefly under the previous regime of President Jerry John Rawlings after long time GNPC Boss Tsatu Tsikita stepped down.

The Romanian –trained explorationist has been a career technocrat with the GNPC for much of Tsatsu‘s tenure during which he rose to become director of operation.

Prior to his appointment as GNPC Boss, Nana Asafo-Agyei had worked as the Country Manager for Houston based Vanco Energy.

The MPs say the new GNPC Boss is in conflict of interest position because his former employers currently have before Parliament a multi- million dollar agreement which is seeking approval from the House.
