Miss Anima Wilson, the Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, has appealed to assembly members to do away with partisan politics and unite to develop the district.
She said this when she addressed a meeting of the Atwima Nwabiagya District Assembly at Nkawie at which sub-committees of the assembly were formed.
Miss Wilson said with the election over it was important to co-operate in order to push the district’s development agenda forward.
Mr Benito Owusu-Bio, Member of Parliament for the area, expressed gratitude to the assembly members for conducting themselves well during the meeting.
The Atwima Nwabiagya District is one in the Ashanti Region without a District Chief Executive following the rejection of the President’s nominee, Mr. Christopher Chougkureh, on two occasions.
