Herbert Addo claims his Kumasi Asante Kotoko side can still win the MTN Top 4 competition despite their ultra slow start to the off-season competition.
The Porcupine Warriors lost yet again at the Baba Stadium to their arch rivals leaving them at the bottom of the log after two games with no points.
Yet Addo refuses to give up hope even though he insists winning the competition is not a priority.
“There are four games remaining and if we win them, we are still in it,†he said.
“Every fan wants a win so I can understand if they are disappointed but this is the pre-season for us and you use them to test tactics and test your players. For us the priority is to prepare and win the league and do well in Africa.â€
Kotoko’s next game will be against Heart of Lions and Addo, hailed as a Kotoko saviour after his fine run to end the season knows that even if this is an off-season competition, another defeat could raise the voices of discontent within the club very quickly.
