Michael Kwabena Okyere Darko a.k.a. Obrafour the ‘Executioner’ has finally broken his silence over the raging rift between him and Okyeame Kwame saying that the content of his new album ‘Kasiebo’ which means news has nothing to do with Okyeame Kwame and Obour.

According to him, the Kasiebo album that featured Guru does not step on any toe as painted by some DJs, fans and the general public.

He therefore warned Okyeame Kwame to be mindful of what he says maintaining that the song Kasiebo has nothing to do with him.

Obrafour was speaking on Hitz FM, an Accra based radio station, over the weekend on the programme Cruise Control.

He described Okyeame Kwame as a musician who does not know his left and right, yet he calls himself a ‘rap doctor’.

“He does not know anything about rap and does not even have up to five albums,” the Executioner stated.

He said Okyeame Kwame is the same musician who featured Obour on his track ‘killing the game’ which talks about how Hiplife is collapsing and how many musicians adopted the western style of music.

He noted that these two musicians, ‘referring to Obour and Okyeame Kwame, talked about how music in Ghana is collapsing and yet, they are the same musicians who had a song which had a French kind of rhythm which has become known in our local parlance as ‘Gbohe’.

For his part, Okyeame Kwame said he could not compose a song which sought to insult or create innuendos for his child to listen to in future and added that “If Obrafour thinks he was the best then, the two of them should meet to find the best rapper.”

“I cannot compose a song to insult Obrafour for my child to grow up in ten years time and then listen to my song which contained insults—my child would be obviously disappointed in me”, Okyeame Kwame noted.

I see Obrafour as a coward since he could not mention his name or face him directly stressing that “Obrafour is no rapper in Ghana; he should never consider himself to be a rapper because he composes senseless songs,” the Rap Doctor emphasized.

“Obrafour only sits down and combine things that he does not understand which turn to be empty and in the end thinks he is rapping”.

Meanwhile Hip life artiste Obour has also added his voice to the controversy and bemoaned Obrafour’s attitude, saying “I am really disappointed in Obrafour since he is one of the respected Hiplife artistes in Ghana.

Obour said musicians hardly talk about their fellow musicians like that and expressed shock at Obrafour’s behaviour.

“I know Obrafour has been in the industry for quite some time now and he is well respected- I am therefore disappointed in him for insulting Okyeame Kwame and some other musicians.”
