Jesus Christ will come soon

On Sunday, 17th January, 2010, at the new auditorium of the Awakeners Chapel at Ablekuma in Accra, the day’s spiritual healing and service saw many people healed of their ailments and the demon-possessed delivered. The poor were also blessed through the power of Jesus Christ.
As a man of God and an awakener, I have been given the grace to be alert and awake spiritually even when my physical body is tired. It was not surprising therefore when I picked my phone as it rang around 2:00 p.m., Monday morning. I responded “Hello” and there was the trembling male voice of my church member who broke the news of an impending earthquake which he said had engulfed the whole nation.
He advised that my family and I to come out of the house and stay outside. Cool, calm and collected was my disposition as I was certain in my spirit that if such things would happen, God will not hide it from his prophets including me. Nevertheless, human as I am, I woke my wife and daughter up, prayed and committed our lives into God’s hands.
Few hours later, we were informed that it was a hoax. This hoax, notwithstanding, generated a lot of panic among the Ghanaian populace including people who claimed to be believers. I wondered how many of us are prepared for the second coming of Jesus Christ which may likely occur in the same circumstance or perhaps different dimension.
Please take note of these questions
1. WHAT PREPARATION HAVE WE MADE FOR HIS COMING?
2. ARE WE QUALIFIED TO REIGN WITH HIM?
3. ARE WE CONSCIOUS OF HIS SECOND COMING?
4. ARE WE AWARE OF LIFE AFTER DEATH?
5. ARE WE ALSO AWARE THAT THERE IS JUDGEMENT AFTER DEATH?
6. IS HE COMING WITH HIS REWARD ACCORDING TO OUR DEEDS?
7. DID YOU KNOW THAT HEAVEN AND HELL ARE REAL?
8. WHERE WILL YOU SPEND YOUR ETERNITY?
9. IF JESUS HAD COME ON THAT SUNDAY, WHERE WILL YOU BE NOW? HEAVEN OR HELL?

I think, God allowed the rumour to be plotted and grounded as a wake-up call to both believers and unbelievers. God has indirectly warned us of the dangers ahead if we fail to submit to His authority and become truly born-again. The earthquake rumour experience has also reaffirmed that this world is full of vanity. Whatever possession you have acquired on earth, riches and wealth which you are endowed with, fame, position and social strata, will all be grounded to a halt at the expiration of your life. The other side of your life that is life after death will be decided by the way you live your life while on earth.
REPENTANCE
God has not given us second chance but another chance to repent our unbelieving attitude, sin, bad character, insincerity in our worship of God. Start a new life altogether.
A new life in Christ while old things pass away “REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NEAR” this was the message of John the Baptist who came as a fore runner of Jesus Christ. As we faithfully await the second coming of Jesus Christ, I urge you my precious readers to repent totally of your iniquities; surrender your life unto Jesus and you must be a born-again.
See yourself as heavenly bound candidate whose life should depend solely on Jesus. We were created in the image of God therefore we cannot continue to please our lust and ego while we displease God our creator. We should not be afraid of death rather we should fear God who has absolute power over life and death.
Now is the time to change our attitude and character. We should have a renewed attitude of our hearts and minds towards God and life generally. Forgiveness of sin can only be received after we repent of our sins, forsake them and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour.
After death, there is no room for repentance and forgiveness, because we cannot come back to earth to correct our ways again. This reminds me of an occurrence which happened few weeks ago when I picked a Taxi from the Ministries to New Achimota. The driver drove through Abeka Junction traffic light and in a traffic hold up, suddenly, we heard a voice from a truck vehicle near us shouting, “Charlie, tell Aaron I will not die in prison, I will come out of prison one day and I shall confront him.” Then the driver looked up as I also did, there was this young man in a prison uniform being carried with other prisoners to Nsawam Prisons.
My curious mind became alert. I asked the driver, who is that man, he replied, master, that man was a taxi driver like him in his area. He was involved in armed robbery with other gangs. They were arrested, prosecuted and jailed for many years.
According to the driver, Aaron, the prisoner, sent the message to his friend whom he suspected implicated him in the case which led him to prison. He intends to revenge Aaron one day after his release. The driver confirmed to me that truly the prisoner was a notorious armed robber in their vicinity.
Ironically, this man has not shown any remorse for his offence instead he is raging with bitterness and desiring to revenge one day. What is the possibility that he will come out of prison alive with this unrepentant posture? Even if he comes out of prison, I think he should rather repent of his sins, renounce and forsake his criminal ways instead of thinking of revenge and becoming enraged with bitterness against the people who blew the lid of his waywardness.
This prisoner has another chance to repent, but that is not the case with a dead person who cannot came back to life to correct his ways.
Please repent today. God will save you.
