The Kingsway Ministerial Institute has held a matriculation ceremony to usher in new students into the new academic year.
According to the President of the institute, Rev. Jonathan Da-costa Annan, the main objective of the institute is to inculcate into students the spirit of God so as to become responsible ministers of God after studies.
He added that the institute also aims at training people to become responsible servants of God by growing in the spirit and also abiding by the commandments of God.
He noted that about eighty-two (82) students were matriculated this year into the institute.
Rev. Jonathan Da-costa Annan indicated that the institute is not a school of theology but a school of divinity which means imparting into students the teachings of the Bible and Christianity.
“The school of divinity adopted by our institute will help in imparting into students who passed through the institute in gaining knowledge, teachings and also acquiring the skills of Christianity,” stressed Rev. Jonathan Da-costa.
Rev. Jonathan Da-costa disclosed that the school which started with Diploma programs in Divinity could now boast of other programs like Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree in Divinity and Degree in Divinity.
He further stated that the mission statement of the institute aims at raising Christian ministers and church leaders to meet the challenging times ahead.
“The habit of punctuality will help you to deliver and perform satisfactorily to the admiration of your congregation after leaving the school,” he stated.
On his part, Rev. Harry Morgan Oduro, a lecturer at Kingsway Ministerial Institute advised the students to take their studies seriously so as to become responsible Ministers of God after their courses.
Rev. Morgan advised Ghanaians to have the fear of God in their lives in an effort to achieve development.
