Keep-Fit club inaugurated in honour of Professor Frimpong Boateng

GNA – A keep fit club named after Professor Frimpong-Boateng, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, has been inaugurated in his home town of Nkawie Toase in the Ashanti Region.
    The Professor Frimpong Boateng Keep Fit Club, with a membership of over 70 young people drawn from all over Nkawie and its environs, has the former CEO and a leading member of the New Patriotic Party as Patron. Mr Appiah-Danquah Kufuor, Chief Executive Officer of the Volta Region Development Agency is his deputy.
   In a statement released on Thursday and signed by Nana Abena Dum, Secretary of the Club, Professor Frimpong-Boateng urged the members to be health conscious.
"I will urge you to always lead healthy lifestyles, eat well, abstain from alcohol, mobilize other young people for developmental activities and also be disciplined, he advised.
Mr Thomas Awuah Asem, Information Officer at the Atwima Nwabiagya District Council, thanked the professor for his dedication to the cause of the youth in the country, and his selflessness and dedication to his profession as a surgeon.
     He urged the youth in the area to use the equipment at the Club to improve their health and also assist in carrying out developmental activities in the community.
   The youth appealed to Professor Frimpong-Boateng to contest the forth-coming presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party as he had all the needed qualities for the presidency.
