Gideon Baah Out For 8 Months

A team of medical doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi successfully repaired the broken tibia and fibular of the young player on Thursday.
Minutes after the complicated surgery, Dr. Kwaku Kwarteng said on Kessben FM that Baah can regain fitness and play active football again six to eight months from now.
The tibia and fibular of Baah’s left leg got broken during Kotoko’s 1-0 painful loss to rivals Hearts on Sunday.
Dr. Kwarteng described the one and half hour surgery as very successful. “Baah is in a stable condition at the Intensive Care Unit,” he said, adding the player might need physiotherapy to get healed completely later on.Kotoko fans were hopeful that the enterprising player will bounce back anytime soon; but this news seems to have dashed all the hope.
Prior to the surgery, Baah said on Kessben FM that he was extremely shocked about his predicament which will keep him out of the game for a long time and asked for the prayers of fans to recover soon.
Dr. Kwaku Kwarteng said mentally, Baah is strong and his young age might also help him to recover soon.
