South Africa’s Premier Soccer League side Free State Stars have reportedly contacted Ashanti Gold coach David Duncan but he is bent on staying put in order win the Ghana league.
Duncan told the media he wants to focus on winning the Glo Premier League title rather than moving abroad.
"I have heard about this issue and received a couple of calls from there. Even though details of whatever they intend to give me have not been put on the table but when timing is right, I will know," Duncan told Joy FM.
"Unlike the first South African offer came in and I was so excited and I was looking forward to going to start something there. This time around, it doesn’t seem that way. I’m really not considering any expatriate offer."
The tough-talking coach fell out with Free State Stars two years ago after a short stint at the club.
Ea Lla Koto have appointed former player Themba Sithole as caretaker coach in the interim but Duncan is in no rush for a move.
Ashanti Gold have a one-point advantage at the top of the Glo Premier League with seven matches left in the season.
