Govt to Develop Database On the Poor

Ghana will by the end of this year have a database of the very poor in society. The registration for the compilation of the database is underway and a technical committee is analyzing to ensure that pro-poor programmes initiated by government benefit the extremely poor in society.

The Deputy Employment and Social Welfare Minister, Antwi Boasiako Sekyere made this known to Radio Ghana today. He spoke to Gloria Anderson.

On the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty, Mr. Boasiako Sekyere said government believes the programme is useful and if the target group benefits, the impact will be profound.
