HANS Hotel—a first class hotel—is one of the most prestigious and beautiful hotels in Ghana.
Located in Kpobiman, near Accra, off the Nsawam road, HANS has played host to many guests from within and outside the shores of Ghana.
Among those who have enjoyed the comfort and serenity of HANS include politicians, actors, actresses, bishops, businessmen and women and people from all walks of life.
And because of its strategic location, the facility has become a preferred destination for many, especially foreigners who visit the country.
In an interview with Hotel and Tourism Today, the owner and Managing Director of HANS, Nii Korankye Hansen, disclosed that the hotel is one of the renowned hotels, particularly within the Greater Accra region.
He went on to say that his hotel is a first class hotel with state-of-the-art facilities which make visitors who come there long to have more of the hotel’s services.
“…Its facilities can be compared to world class hotels in the world, said Nii Korankye Hansen.
According to Nii Hansen, his hotel has all the facilities that make it a first class hotel.
The owner of HANS Hotel revealed that the reason why he decided to go into the hospitality industry was because anytime he travelled back home from the US he was always lodging in a hotel.
“And because of this I thought it will be wise to build a hotel of my own where I and my family can rest anytime we came down to Ghana for holidays,” explained Mr Hansen.
Nii Korankye Hansen told Hotel and Tourism Today that his hotel was hitherto known as HANS LODGE, but he later had to change the name to HANS Hotel because when people believed it was a small place with just a four-bedroom facility when it was HANS LODGE.
“But, in actual fact my hotel is a twenty-three room facility with each room well-furnished and decorated with facilities to make our clients want to have more”, Nii Hansen affirmed.
HANS Hotel, according to Mr Hansen, was built six years ago. He said the facility has hosted travelers from near and far. He went on to stress that management and workers of his hotel always ensure that clients are treated equally and fairly treated.
“The hotel has been of immense benefit to travelers from near and far because foreigners also patronise in lodging in this hotel because of our facilities and services”, he said.
He made it clear that he had always had the love and passion for this kind of work and therefore saw it as rewarding to render services of this kind to people.
“I always had the love for this kind of job because before I left for America, I was operating a registered company by name HANS NIGHT CLUB, which had a bar and a restaurant”, he disclosed.
Nii Hansen, interestingly, told this reporter that he has plans of expanding facilities at the hotel, particularly increasing the number of rooms from its current 23 to 50.
Among facilities at HANS include conference rooms and gym. It also provides rental services and has bar and restaurant services, an internet café and a boutique.
