A Brazillian model who sports the world’s largest breasts is fighting for her life after suffering complications in surgery after going under the knife for the 30th time.

In her most recent breast enlargement procedure, Sheyla Hershey contracted a severe staphylococcal infection following complications during surgery, myFOXhouston reported.

The 30-year-old, who resides in Houston, Texas, was taken into surgery to have her implants removed in both her breasts.

Hershey’s surgeon said that the infection could leak into her bloodstream which could then put her at risk of septicaemia — a severe and advanced form of the infection that is potentially fatal. There is a possibility that both her breasts are removed along with her implants to reduce this risk.

“I had a huge fever and it was painful. I couldn’t breathe properly, it was terrible! I was in bed all day, couldn’t get up,” Hershey is quoted as saying.

In 2009, Hershey was awarded the Brazilian equivalent of the Guinness Book of World Records award, in which she reached a bra size of 38KKK.
