*Police receives medical report
The Effiduase Police in Ashanti has received Medical report from the parents of the 13- year-old girl who was allegedly defiled by the former chairman of the Effiduase branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Even though the police was sketchy in giving out details of the report, Today can confidently say that the report among other things stated that there had been an opening in the girl’s private part giving more credence to the allegation that she had been defiled.
Several days after the report was made to the police in the Sekyere East District of Ashanti, they have been unable to arrest or invite the alleged suspect, Nana Afari Agyeman, to get his statement.
That has been due to the fact that, he allegedly fled the town immediately news of his criminal act got to the police and people of Effiduase and no one till now knows his whereabouts and the police have now embarked on a process to declare him wanted.
It would be recalled that a young man called Kweku Boateng last week reported to the Asokore Police that Nana Afari Agyeman had defiled his little sister.
According to him, following a tip off from a friend he caught the over 70-year-old man busily having sex with his 13 year old sister in one of the classrooms of the T.I. Ahmadiya Primary and Junior High school in Asokore.
Sources in the area told this reporter that the alleged act of the former NPP chairman was not his first indulgence since there had been some similar allegations about him in the past. But he always got his way through by paying huge sums of money to the victims’ parents.
Even though he refused to present himself to the police since they had been to his house on several occasions to look for him, Nana Afari Agyeman has rather chosen to control the defamation caused him through a radio station in the Ashanti regional capital.
A source in the area who found the unfolding event appalling wondered why he rather chose to hide somewhere and deny the allegations made against him on radio when he knows he could not clear himself through that medium.
