…After Combing Woman’s Hair

A strange incident happened a week ago at a popular hairdressing salon (name withheld) located at Bantama in Kumasi when the eyes of an apprentice hairdresser went completely blind after combing the hair of a middle aged woman who had come to the salon to fix a weave-on.

Narrating the incident to the P&P, a colleague apprentice, Maa Afia, said the woman came to enquire early in the morning whether their salon could fix a weave-on for her since she was attending a wedding ceremony the next day and needed to look smart and attractive.
True to her word, the woman came over in the afternoon to have her hair done. Since all the hairdressers were busy attending to one client or the other at the time, a junior apprentice was detailed to attend to the woman.

However, barely twenty minutes after the apprentice had started working on the hair; a sudden excruciating shout was heard from the young girl which attracted all her colleagues to her.
When asked what the problem was, she reportedly told them something like a thick smoke had entered her eyes from the woman’s hair and that she could not see clearly. Although she was given water by her colleagues to wash the face, their desperate efforts yielded no result.

Incidentally, adjacent to their shop is a prayer camp so the pastor in charge was implored to come over to pray for the young innocent girl. After several minutes of fervent prayers the slight was partially restored though she still complained that she could not see properly with the right eye.

Shockingly, the woman who as at the centre of this controversy never ever uttered a word when the young girl was going through the painful ordeal. However before anybody could say jack, she was nowhere to be found.

The young apprentice was said to be receiving medical attention at the time of filing this report.
