Positioning itself strategically as a true African brand with international appeal, e.tv Ghana has made yet another great stride.
Station Manager of e.tv, John Osei-Tutu Agyeman, is heading to Kenya for this year’s DISCOP Television Africa Festival 2010. The festival is the fourth edition and would come off in Nairobi, Kenya from the 1st to 3rd of September 2010.
His participation in the festival will equip him with new trends in television programming, concept and content development and digital feature generation to keep him abreast of issues in the television industry in order to further expand e.tv’s mandate of providing quality programmes.
DISCOP Television Africa festival, was launched two years ago to facilitate business between Sub-Saharan audiovisual content buyers and international distributors and producers of film, finished programs, formats and packaged TV channels.
Held twice a year alternatively in Senegal (February) and then in Kenya (September) and limited to an average of 350 highly qualified participants, DISCOP AFRICA is a sales-centric, compact, hotel-based platform powered by DISCOP Africa’s multilingual research and matchmaking teams in Paris and Dakar.
The television festival brings together professionals from across the globe to buy and sell television content for three days of personalized pre-arranged meetings, professional workshops and conferences, and limitless networking opportunities.
“We have never ceased to share ideas and to brainstorm on how to redefine television in Ghana. This trip will most definitely be an eye opener to us at e.tv; and will help boost e.tv’s fast growing reputation as the only Business and Entertainment focused Station in Ghana and as well as promote e.tv Ghana as a true African Brand with international appeal,” the station manager of e.tv Ghana said.
While in Kenya, Mr. Osei-Tutu Agyeman will be hosted by Nation Media, K24 Television and Kiss Fm, all affiliates of e.tv Ghana and is expected to hold discussions with Television Executives from across the Globe.
