NPP, Beware – Alan Forms New Party?
Posted by on August 31, 2010 at 5:10 pm in News From Other Newspapers, PoliticsThere are credible indications that a new political party, the United Front Party (UFP) is being formed. That a new political party is being formed is not news but its initial target makes news. The new party should also be worrying for the main opposition party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), for two main reasons.
The first is that the organizers of the new party, UFP, have been targeting the members of the NPP, who were openly supporting the candidature of Mr. Alan Kyerematen during the just ended NPP elections elect its 2012 flagbearer. The second is that the heartbeat of the UFP is in Kumasi, the capital of the NPP’s ‘Political World Bank’, the Ashanti Region.
Analysts believe given the nature of the UFP’s operations, Mr. Kyerematen, popularly known as Alan Cash, should come out to disassociate himself from the party. By the way, is there a similarity in the names, the United Front Party (UFP) and the Popular Front Party (PFP)?
