GICEL cleans up its premises

The Ghana Industrial and Commercial Estates Limited (GICEL) over the weekend spearheaded an initiative to clean up the drains and improve sanitation at the Weija industrial estate.
The clean-up exercise was in collaboration with the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Accra Brewery Limited, Shoprite and the Fire Service.
The exercise involved about a 100 members of the above institutions including the Managing Director of GICEL, Mr. Isaac Boama, the local manager of Shoprite and marketing staff of Accra Brewery Limited.
In his remarks after the exercise, the managing director of GICEL said as community leaders, GICEL will be collaborating with other institutions in the Weija locality to improve sanitation and advised tenants on the estate and in the community to desist from throwing rubbish into the drains.
He thanked Accra Brewery Limited and Shoprite for their donations of mineral water and refreshment for the exercise and all other agencies for their support.
