Vodafone Ghana reduces tariff from 14.4 to 8GP

The offer, available to prepaid customers can be activated by dialing 8080 to register and costs 8gp. Subsequently callers will have to pay only 8gp per minute to all networks with calls charged per second.
Customers, who do not register for the new tariff will however, remain on the standard tariff of 14.4gp.
In order to place power in the hands of customers, Vodafone will embark on a major communications and educational drive to enable all segments of society make the most informed choice.
“Vodafone aims to be at the forefront of changing the face of telecommunications in Ghana, not only with our technology, but also issues that touch on the bare essentials relating to the needs and desires of our esteemed customers,” Kyle Whitehill, Chief Executive of Vodafone Ghana said on Monday.
“The product is currently available to only Vodafone prepaid customers. Anyone who wants to enjoy the cheapest rate in Ghana must immediately get a Vodafone SIM, register 8080 and start enjoying this amazing offer.”
Free Night Calls still apply while international and calls from Vodafone land lines are charged at standard rates.
The new tariff cannot be used in conjunction with the current Talk n Talk promotion.
