Mexican Antonio Margarito has vowed to do better than Joshua Clottey when he takes on Manny Pacquiao on Nov. 13 (Nov. 14 in Manila) for the World Boxing Council super-welterweight crown at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Clottey, of Ghana, covered up like a shell when he fought Pacquiao last March and had largely been a forgotten boxer after absorbing a unanimous decision defeat.

In an interview with diamondboxing.com, Margarito said Clottey had a “terrible showing,” adding he intends to meet Pacquiao head-on.

“Fight fans should know that is not my style. I am a fighter who throws punches and puts on relentless pressure,” Margarito said, adding his camp has prepared a game plan that “will defeat Manny.

“Manny is going to have a bigger, taller fighter in front of him. A fighter that throws constant punches, a fighter that does not stop putting pressure. We’ll find out how he handles that on fight night,” Margarito stressed.

Pacquiao, meanwhile, “breezed” through 10 rounds of sparring at the Wild Card gym, according to Michael Marley of Examiner.com, who caught sight of the Filipino ring icon coming out of the Nat’s Thai Food on Tuesday night.

“I feel good, I feel fine, I feel ready to go,” Marley quoted Pacquiao as saying.

Pacquiao is set to held a Media Day Wednesday (Thursday in Manila), with promoter Bob Arum joining him at the Wild Card gym.

In another development, Pacquiao will join Sen. Harry Reid in an early vote rally on Friday night at the Orr Middle School in Las Vegas. Reid, the Senate majority leader, is bidding to keep his Senate seat against Sharron Angle.

Pacquiao is the latest high-profile name on Reid’s list of endorsements. Heading into Election Day, Sen. Al Franken, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis and First Lady Michelle Obama were scheduled to make appearances on behalf of Reid.

Thoughtful and interesting, thank you. I was brought up in manilla but moved to america at such a young age I can hardly remember anything apart from the delicious food. I finally found some authentic Filipino recipes if you want to take a look, I thought I’d share it with you!

Shane a previous has been. JMM fats slob at welterweight. Even fatter slob at middleweight. Bradley? A nobody with no opponents to his record of critical note however. A lightweight and not a middleweight.
