King Arthur Paes’ body guards intercepted an audio tape recording which content revealed several secret meetings of plots allegedly masterminded by Wubbeling together with some irate workers of the hotel who were sacked recently.

This, according to facts on the ground, was all part of a grand plot to kill the Somey chief.

And immediately King Arthur Paes got wind of the plot on his life, he quickly informed the police and national security who then moved in to arrest Wubbeling.

Based on this information, the police and operatives of National Security were detailed to arrest the Dutch man.

Wubbeling was arrested at his official residence at Nungua on Sunday, November 21, 2010.

Until his arrest, Today was told that Wubbeling worked under King Arthur Paes- who is the owner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the African Royal Beach Hotel, which hither to was known as Dutch Hotel.

A source confided in Today that Wubbeling had secretly been meeting some enraged dismissed workers to conspire and have King Arthur Paes eliminated from the face of earth.

According to the source, after Wubbeling was arrested he was charged with conspiring against King Arthur Paes.

He was also accused by some workers at the hotel of engaging in sabotage schemes to hinder the growth of the hotel.

The source intimated that the workers, who secretly met with Wubbeling to plan the assassination plot, were those who were fired by the hotel for various reasons including stealing, gross and disrespect.

The paper further found out that during a thorough search of Wubbeling’s residence the enforcement agencies found two guns in his room.

“During a search at Wubbeling’s residence, the police found two guns, but only one was registered- the other was an unregistered gun; and we wondered why he had registered just one gun when in actual fact he had two guns,” the source told Today.

This paper was also informed that Wubbeling had allegedly misapplied funds from the accounts of the hotel and stolen an undisclosed amount of money from King Arthur Paes.

The source said everyone was surprised to see Wubbeling constructing an expensive house for himself and his Ghanaian wife- whose name was only given as Eunice- since his GH¢1,500 salary could not enable him to put up that kind of house.

“His monthly salary is GH¢1,500; so we were all amazed at the manner at which he was able to construct a house of that kind. He also bought an expensive car recently. He abused the kind of trust King Paes had for him and did a whole lot of mischievous things,” the source noted.

On the character of Wubbeling, the source disclosed that he is the kind of man who was rejected by his lawfully wedded wife and children way back in Holland for proving irresponsible.

“He never took care of his wife and children- even his children tell him in the face that he is not responsible so they hated him. As a result of this he came to Ghana about four years ago and had been operating Mosh Koon Company Limited, his own business at Tema, which was being sponsored by the Dutch government which he was in charge until he was employed by the hotel.

He then married again in Ghana to Eunice whom she has a new baby with,” the source disclosed.

Checks by Today indicated that King Arthur Paes has launched a full-scale investigation into the missing of US$50,000 cash from the hotel.

This amount is believed to have been misapplied by Wubbeling during his term of office as the Managing Director.
