It brought together seasoned tennis players including Stanelson Cole, Kwabena Asabere, Charles Asuming and Edmund Little.
In the Ladies final match, Debora Brenya Korankye beat Mamoud Miriam 7-1 to emerge the champion.
Mr Kwabena Asabere, a member of the Interim Executive Committee of the Club, told the GNA Sports that the tournament was to help develop tennis, which is a lesser known sport, particularly in the Ashanti Region.
He said it was about time tennis is gingered up to enhance its competitive spirit, especially among youth just like football.
Mr Asabere said the Club has decided to organize the event annually to popularise the sport in the Metropolis.
Mr Joseph Acquah, a tennis coach stressed the need to build more tennis courts to help whip up enthusiasm of the sport.
