Local online store Have2Have has urged customers “to exercise caution” before buying Apple’s iPad.

The popular tablet computer was launched in South Africa last week, about eight months after its American launch. However, industry experts are expecting a second-generation model to be announced by Apple in the next few weeks, My Broadband reported.

Have2Have has terminated sales of the first-generation device as a result, with co-founder Simon Swanich saying that the iPad 2 will likely retail at the same price as the first model.

The iPad 2 is rumoured to have front- and rear-facing cameras, dual-core processor and a high-resolution Retina Display.
