Easter Jazz at Coconut Grove

The hotel will also offer children a mouth-watering treat by organising treasure hunts, games, Easter egg painting and kid’s movie hour as well as sandcastle building contests for all children visitors.
There would also be a special chef-menu for guests throughout the festivities, cultural performances, acrobatic display, and limbo night, bonfire on the beach, dinner and relaxation with DJ music.
The General Manager of Coconut Grove Hotel, Elmina Mr. John Yeboah Mensah, divulged this to Today in an exclusive interview yesterday.
According to him, an in-house Jazz group called ‘Coconut Grove Jazz Cotech,’ which has been constantly performing at the hotel, will be treating guests to special jazz tunes during the Easter festive occasion.
He said as a result of that his outfit has purchased musical instruments adding that plans are also afoot to establish an in-house live band, to treat clients and guests with live performances every night.
Mr. Mensah further stated that there would be an Easter Bunney, who would engage in recreation with the kids and an Easter Tree that would be painted by the kids with their wishes and aspirations boldly on it.
The general manager indicated that his outfit is the only hotel that can boast of a clean beach and a swimming pool at the same time.
Among its side attractions are an 18-hole golf course, tennis court, horse stable for horse ridding, organic poultry farm, crocodile pond, donkey, gym and an African Village among others.
He explained that the African Village, which goes for as low as GH¢30, was created to satisfy customers, who prefer local and traditional African settings.
Against that backdrop, he disclosed that the hotel has been organising constant weekend studies for children at Pekyi and Anlo towns in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Constituency in line with its social responsibility.
Touching on their contribution towards domestic tourism, he said, the hotel has been hosting volunteers from other African countries for free, to help them embark on their respective assignments.
He disclosed that a new 550 KV generator has been built to solve the major problem of power fluctuation.
He added that the golf course has also been revamped for the Golden Golf Tournament in September this year and called on all interested persons to apply for the impending tournament.
