The awards were presented to the participating PUC students in the PUSAG games in various categories such as, football, volley ball, netball, shot-put, as well as athletics.

Addressing the gathering, the Rector of PUC, Rev. Dr. Peter Ohene-Kyei, was overwhelmed by the spectacular performance of the PUC students in the games and encouraged them to keep it up.

The man of God educated the students on the critical role sports plays in socio- economic growth, urging them to device new measures to take active participation in sports activities to complement the government’s efforts of promoting sports activities in the country.

He indicated the PUC’s commitment to set in motion pragmatic measures to promote sport activities on the campus.

“We are putting measures in place to ensure that PUC becomes one of the best sport universities in the country,” Dr. Ohene-Kyei assured.

Dr. Ohene-Kyei stressed the need for adult Ghanaians to inculcate in the youth of the country the spirit of sports.

That, according to him, would help provide the youth with skills and knowledge in the fields of all sport activities.
