Two reports - The Ghana Advertised Job Vacancies, 2006 and Job Tracking Survey 2006-were on Thursday launched in Accra by the Minister for Finance and Economic Planning Mr Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu.
The reports prepared by the Ghana Statistical Service were meant to monitor the number of jobs created across the country in line with the 2006 budget.

Big boost for rice sector

Bawku Hospital Workers Cooperative Credit Union nets huge savings

The Bawku Hospital Workers Cooperative Credit Union (BHWCCU) increased its net savings to 1.4 billion cedis in the 2006 financial year as against 909.1 million cedis in 2005, representing 65 per cent increase.

One hundred and seven thousand hectares of trees planted

More than 107,000 hectares of trees have so far been planted under the Plantation Unit of the Forest Services Division of the Forestry Commission (FC), Mr Dominic Fobih, former Minister of Lands, Forestry and Mines announced at the week-end.
