Aggudey threatens court action

A presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party, Mr. Opesika Aggudey has threatened court action, if the result does not go in his favour. According to him he has evidence that the elections were rigged by other contenders.

Unconfirmed reports gathered by the journal indicates that Mr. James Kwabena Bomfeh Jnr has won the position as National Youth Organiser polling 1054 votes as against Mr. Francis Opai Tetteh votes of 857. It was recorded that 8 votes were rejected.

Calm restored at CPP congress

… Akosa Profess first round victory

Calm has finally been restored at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science Technology, the venue for the CPP delegate congress.

Currently, the northern region has taken it turn in the party’s presidential and executive elections of the CPP.

Delegates to the Convention People’s Party congress in Kumasi are still voting to elect a presidential candidate and other party officials.

As at 6 am on Monday morning, delegates from the Northern Region were still voting. That had to be suspended because in the estimation of the Electoral Commission, there was some form of impersonation.
