Job Opportunity: GENERAL MANAGER (Leading Investment Banking Firm)

An exceptional leadership opportunity exists within this fast growing Investment Banking Firm for a dynamic General Manager. The General Manager will be responsible for administering, monitoring and controlling the day- to-day operations of the organization and will be expected to achieve business performance results through the Management team.

This position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

The successful candidate should be:

A senior manager with a strong background and knowledge in management of an Investment Banking or Financial institution. A self-driven, results-oriented individual with a proven capability to lead people with a clear focus on high quality and business profit. A mature, credible, tolerant team player, keen for new experience, challenge, responsibility and accountability with excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate should have :

  • Minimum Masters degree in business, accounting, finance or related area of study;
  • Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience, preferably in an investment banking, pension fund, or commercial banking position;
  • Experience in strategic planning, financial analysis, investment advisory services and risk management;
  • A track record of managing a financial institution in a competitive environment;
  • Excellent negotiation, marketing and presentation skills;
  • A working knowledge of analytical tools for investment management
  • Must qualify for license and certification by the Ghana Stock Exchange and the Securities & Exchange Commission;
  • Knowledge of Pension Fund Management and understanding of the new Pensions Act 766;
  • International investment banking experience will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in use of modern Information Communication Technology tools.
